Winter arrived with a vengeance this year here in the midwest. The temps have been freezing cold and well below normal paired with gusty winds makes for a miserable time outside. Top that with an early arrival of the flu virus and harsh viruses spreading through the schools means we need to take care of ourselves and be kind to our bodies. Beessential is one way I can take care of my family and myself with a company that uses natural, pure ingredients that are good for us and our environment.
So what’s the first thing you notice gets dry and uncomfortable when the weather cools down? Or when you have a cold or upper respiratory illness? Your lips! Your lips are the first to become dry and uncomfortable. Beessential makes lip balms with fresh beeswax, a unique blend of olive and coconut oils combined with cupuacu butter and shea butter. Then they add in natural oils to make a variety of balms.
Beessential Lip Balm comes in the following –
Lime & Coconut
Rose & Mint
Cinnamon & Clove (O’Christmas Balm)
Peppermint
Lemon & Lavender
Honey Balm
Orange & Ginger
Just note the Cinnamon & Clove is a seasonal lip balm so be sure to stock up to get you through to next year.
My favorite is the Orange & Ginger. I love everything with a citrus feel or scent. The orange & ginger glides on leaving a protective coating on my lips along with a light citrus fragrance.
In addition to making quality lip balms, Beessential also makes bar soap, hair care, body wash, body cream, deodorant and foaming soap. There are no harsh chemicals like sulfates, parabens or dyes in any of their products.
The philosophy behind Beessential was born when the founder allowed a co-worker to place a beehive on her family farm. There was no intention to become bee farmers or grow an empire of natural beauty products. It was a series of events that lead to the birth of Beessential. That co-worker kept running into obstacles that created barriers for him to care for the hive he had placed. So David, the family farm owner, ended up caring for the bees. As he started to learn about bees through attending workshops at The Ohio State University he became fascinated with them. The more he learned the more he realized how the bees’ world is connected to our world. If there were changes to our environment it had an impact on the bee’s environment as well and a cycle, a connection was seen. That is how Beessential was born.
Beessential can be found at Kroger, Shop Rite, Giant Eagle, Amazon or online.
