I had never really experienced any sort of motion sickness before I got pregnant. I could go on any rollercoaster, take road trips and do anything I wanted. Never felt sick to my stomach. Then Peyton arrived. She let her presence be announced by the worse morning sickness ever. It was like she had a little calendar and at 6 weeks it started. At first, I thought it was a stomach virus. I took ginger and drank lots of ginger ale and 7-up. But it kept getting worse, not better. A week later I couldn’t even move my eyelids without wanting to vomit. It was then I started to suspect something was up.
My whole pregnancy was like that. I would get sick at everything. Long car rides were impossible for me, heck even short ones made me feel ill. And it last till the day Peyton was born. Now, Peyton is almost 8, like 8 years old, and I get motion sickness fairly easily. My once iron clad resilience has been shattered. I can’t even do the Merry-Go-Round without want to vomit. I’ve been hoping and praying this would eventually go away but it hasn’t.
Recently I was sent a Sea-Band Mama package to try out, now before you all get excited, no I’m not pregnant. But you don’t have to be to feel the wonderful relief from Sea-Band!
Sea-Band works by utilizing pressure points on your wrists. And it works! Today, I spent over 2 hours in the car, driving the whole time. Usually, that would’ve made me a little nauseous, nothing I couldn’t handle but it wouldn’t have been pleasant. However, today I wore Sea-Band and guess what? I felt nothing! There was no consequence for driving an hour away to a friends house to pick something up. Normally, that would’ve wiped me out for the remainder of the day and I wouldn’t have felt very good. But today, I ran all the way to Hugo and picked up my stuff at a friends house and then drove all the way back home and went grocery shopping without missing a beat.
Gosh, I wish I would’ve known about these when I was pregnant! The 15 minutes car ride to work used to make me ill. Sea-Band could have provided so much needed relief.
Sea-Band also has a few special products for the expectant mamas. Like, a little aromatherapy! They have a little essential oil blend in a roller ball that you can apply to your wrists, temples or chest when you’re not feeling that great. And they have ginger lozenges! Use these two in combination with the Sea-Band and it should help relieve the morning sickness without having to use any drugs or chemicals.
You can pick up Sea-Band at CVS pharmacy, Rite Aid, Walgreens, Walmart, Target, and many other drug stores and pharmacies. To find Sea-Band Mama! in your area, visit: sea-band.com/where-to-buy-in-the-usa for the full list of locations.
