This is such a cool book! Creative Children Like the Animals of the World is not only an educational book but it also encourages your child to participate by drawing in the book. Inside the book, you will find pages full of facts and information on different animals. Michelle also filled Creative Children Like the Animals of the World full of beautiful watercolor illustrations with every story. Then she left a page or two or more for your little one to make their own pictures!
This is more of workbook than a story book, but your child will never know. Your child will never feel like they are working. They are going to be having so much fun coloring and drawing pictures in the book it will not feel like work. And if I’m remembering our Kindergarten teacher correctly, children learn best through play. Creative Children Like the Animals of the World will feel like play and will open your child’s mind to all the facts being taught.
Inside Creative Children Like the Animals of the World, your child will learn about environmental awareness, they will start to develop an appreciation of the art and language and explore their own imagination. There is even a space on the cover of the book for your child to add their name, making them an author and illustrator of the book. How cool is that?
I have been using Creative Children Like the Animals of the World this summer with Peyton to keep her engaged and learning. So far, Peyton has been loving it. We read a page or two and then she pulls out her art supplies and starts to draw, paint and tell her own story. She loves it! She thinks it’s another coloring book. But she is learning about different animals, why they have certain markings or why they migrate and so much more.
If you have a preschooler or elementary child, Creative Children Like the Animals of the World would be a perfect book to help keep them engaged over the summer.
