Crockpot Spaghetti Sauce & Meatballs

Sure to be a hit any night of the week is Spaghetti and meatballs. It can feed a crowd, has wide appeal and nearly every kid likes either noodles with butter, noodles with sauce or noodles with sauce and meatballs. So crockpot spaghetti sauce and meatballs are sure to be a hit! Plus, the longer you cook the sauce the better it is! And it reheats really well.

crockpot spaghetti sauce and meatballsTo make a batch of crockpot spaghetti sauce and meatballs you will need the following –

1 bag of Meatballs
28 oz Crushed Tomatoes
28 oz Diced Tomatoes
6 oz Tomato Paste with Italian seasoning
2 tbsp Brown Sugar
1/2 C White Onion, diced
2 cloves Garlic, minced
1 tbsp Oregano
2 tsp Basil
1 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Pepper
1/8 tsp Red Pepper Flakes (optional)

This is literally a dump-and-go recipe. It’s a great recipe for teaching children how to cook too. It’s something they can pretty much do on their own.

Pour the crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, brown sugar, onion, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, and pepper flakes into the crockpot and stir until well combined.

Add in the meatballs and stir.

Place the lid on the crockpot, set it to low and cook for 8-10 hours.  If you are rushed for time you can do 4-5 hours but with this recipe the longer and low heat really makes a difference.

Serve over your favorite noodles and enjoy! Add a little parmesan cheese if desired too.
