Treats! Treats are everywhere you turn. And everything looks scrumptious. But I want to have something a little different than chocolate roses or chocolate covered strawberries. Here are a few of my favorite treats for Valentine’s Day.
Growing up it was a treat to have Breyers ice cream. I LOVED their strawberry ice cream because there are chunks of strawberries! But I also love the Neapolitan because I like to mix the strawberry, chocolate and vanilla together making it into a one of a kind flavor with chunks of strawberries. Now I have a child of my own and she loves to do the same thing. But I like to give her Breyers because there’s no artificial growth hormones given to the cows that provide the milk to make one of our favorite treats. We love our Breyers in a cone, bowl or even topping a brownie or piece of cake!
Now this was not around when I was little but when I saw it in the store we had to try it. Breyers makes Gelato and it is scrumptious! Just in time for Valentine’s Day they came out with Strawberry Truffle Gelato. It’s as close to chocolate covered strawberries you are going to get without actually having a chocolate covered strawberry. There are large chunks of gourmet dark chocolaty truffles sprinkled on top of fudge swirls and strawberry gelato. Peyton couldn’t help herself and I caught her picking off the truffles. She said they were “sooooooo good!”
If you have little ones around there’s no need to leave them out! Try out some Popsicles for those non ice cream lovers. Did you know Popsicle makes a box just full of red Popsicle?? They do! But it’s only sold in select areas so check before you head off to the store. I also found Mystery Popsicles! Each one is red but the inside center is a mystery as to what flavor you will get. The outside shell is Cherry Berry and inside you will discover either Bursting Bubble Gum, Lemonade Blast or Wacky Watermelon.
A little indulgent treat for the momma’s out there are the Magnum Minis. I love having these! There are so many combinations to choose from like double chocolate or double caramel. All of them are delicious. I like the small size because it helps with the calorie control while still satisfying my sweet tooth.
And a classic we must have in our house is Klondike bars. Did you know they also have a Neapolitan Klondike Bar? They do! It’s just not sold in Minnesota 🙁 But if you check this link here you can see if they sell it near you. I love Klondike Bars because they are not messy and taste delicious. Plus I can chop them up and mix them with strawberries for my own simple sundae.
I have never had Good Humor bars before today but when I saw they had a Strawberry Shortcake bar I just had to have it. This one I found at Walgreens and I’m glad I made the trek. It’s so good! Peyton was the first one to the box and she was eating that bar in no time. We both loved our Good Humor bars. It’s nice to have your favorite treat when it’s below zero outside and there are no fresh strawberries in site. These are sure to be a hit with any Strawberry Shortcake lovers.
You can find all these deliciously pink treats at a store near you. I have inserted the product finder with each one so you can find which stores carry them by you.

The gelato looks delicious! Definitely something I would purchase. (Although I doubt it would last very long at my house. My family would have that gone in no time!) 🙂
