Devious Maids is Back!

I cannot believe I missed the season premiere of Devious Maids! It’s one of my guilty pleasures. But thank goodness for DVRs. I was able to catch up last night and let me just say WOW! Last season ended with a huge cliffhanger. That demented teen tried to shoot and kill Valentina at Rosie’s wedding. The scene closed with Rosie covered in blood and falling outside the church. And we had to wait 9 months to find out what happened.  Well the season started showing Rosie in a hospital bed surrounded by the ladies. Carmen, Zoila and Marisol were all there when Rosie woke. Basically, Rosie has been in a coma for a few months but she’s fine.

The interesting part is when Rosie finds out what Spence has done to make money while she was in the hospital. He did soft porn! Rosie’s reaction was exactly what I would have expected – shocked. But after talking with Spence she understood why he did but threatened him if he ever did it again…..

The first episode of the season was engaging. I’m a little intrigued and wondering how it’s going to go. There does seem to be some twist coming up. Marisol seems to have fallen in with the rich snobby crowd after publishing her book but by the end of the first episode she seems to be coming around. Zoila is pregnant! That was a huge shocker. And it’s with Pablo’s baby, Pablo was killed off in the season finale so now she is passing the baby off as her current boyfriend, Javier’s baby. But she feels horrible about it. So we will have to wait and see if and when she breaks down and confesses. Carmen starts the episode dating a married man who is keeping her in a glamorous house. By the end of the night she finds out he’s keeping her in a house he is selling! She finds out when she stumbles across possible buyers when she unexpectedly stayed home from an audition. And the drama doesn’t stop there!

Remember Taylor and Michael Stappord? The sweet couple that wethered some issues last season? Well, they are back! And they have a child. A girl around 8 ………..and the kid has issues! There was no background given on how the child came to be with Taylor and Michael and the stories they both give are inconsistent. So there has to be a juicy story there! But we end the night with Taylor crying and her new housekeeper, Blanca moving in only to discover the living room covered in blood! Who’s blood is it? No clue. But I’m tuning in this Sunday to see! So Ladies – Be sure to set your DVRs for Sunday night. You do not want to miss out on what’s to come!
