Last time we talked about sugar scrubs today we are talking about strawberry salt scrub! The main difference between sugar and salt scrubs is the size of the exfoliating granules. That means sugar particles are smaller, less abrasive and salt scrubs are more abrasive so they should be used less frequently. If you are looking for a deeper clean or a good exfoliation use a salt scrub but not more than once or twice a week. If you are looking for a gentle exfoliation that you can use more frequently use a sugar scrub.
Similar to our sugar scrub recipe there are not many ingredients of steps to the salt scrub recipe.
Here is what you’ll need to make your very own Strawberry Salt Scrub –
1 cup sea salt (you can use a fine or coarse grain)
½ cup coconut oil
10 drops strawberry soap fragrance
1 drop red soap coloring (food coloring can also be used)
Small Mason Jars
There are just a few simple steps for this recipe –
Add sea salt, coconut oil, soap fragrance and soap coloring to a bowl, stir well.
Using a canning funnel, pour into airtight containers.
Be sure to keep your salt scrub in an airtight container when not using it otherwise it’ll dry out.
