Apple Cider Fudge with Caramel Swirl

Ingredient Notes
Apple Cider Mix
Instant apple cider drink mix gives this fudge its signature fall flavor. Be sure to use the powdered drink packets, not bottled cider.
White Chocolate Chips
Use good-quality white chocolate chips for the smoothest texture.
Caramel Bits
Caramel bits melt much easier than individually wrapped caramels, but either will work.
How to Make Apple Cider Fudge
Step 1
Line an 8×8 or 9×9-inch pan with foil or parchment paper, leaving enough overhang to lift the fudge out later.
Step 2
In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine:
- Butter
- Marshmallows
- Sugar
- Heavy cream
- Apple cider drink mix
Cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring frequently until the marshmallows are completely melted.
Step 3
While the marshmallow mixture cooks, combine the caramel bits and heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave at 50% power in 45-second intervals, stirring between each interval until smooth.
Step 4
Remove the marshmallow mixture from the heat and immediately stir in the white chocolate chips.
Continue stirring until the chocolate melts completely and the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
Step 5
Spread the fudge evenly into the prepared pan.
Step 6
Drizzle the melted caramel over the top.
Using a butter knife, gently swirl the caramel through the fudge to create a marbled pattern.
Step 7
Refrigerate for about 3 hours, or until completely firm.
Lift the fudge from the pan and cut into small squares.
Tips for the Best Apple Cider Fudge
- Stir constantly to prevent scorching.
- Use room-temperature heavy cream for smoother caramel.
- Don’t over-swirl the caramel or the marbled effect will disappear.
- A hot knife makes cleaner slices.
- Chill completely before cutting.
Variations
Salted Caramel

Store the fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
Freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before serving.

Easy Caramel Apple Fudge
Ingredients
- 1/4 C Butter, unsalted
- 3 C Mini Marshmallows
- 1/2 C Sufar
- 1/2 C Heavy Cream
- 3 packets Apple Cider Drink Mix
- 3 C White Chocolate Chips
- 1/2 C Caramel Bits
- 1 1/2 tbsp Heavy Cream
Instructions
- The first thing you want to do is line an 8x8 or 9x9 pan with tinfoil. You'll want to leave a little hanging over the edge so you can pull the fudge out the pan once it has cooled. Next, in a large saucepan, melt the butter, marshmallows, sugar, heavy cream, and apple cider over medium heat. You'll want to stir this occasionally to help break up the marshmallows, it'll take about 8-10 minutes. While the marshmallow mixture is on the stove it's time to melt the caramels! In a microwave-safe bowl combine the caramel bit and heavy cream. Microwave at 50% power in 45-second intervals. Be sure to stir in between until the caramels are melted. Once the marshmallow mixture is melted, remove it from the heat and quickly stir in the chocolate chips. This is going to take some muscles and a strong spoon or spatula. Keep folding and stirring until all the chocolate is melted. Then pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Be sure to smooth it evenly throughout the pan. Next, drizzle the melted caramel on top of the fudge. Then take a knife and pull it through the fudge to create swirls. Place in the fridge and let it chill for about 3 hours. Then remove from the fridge, pull the fudge out of the pan, and slice into small squares. This keeps best in the fridge. Once you've sliced your fudge, store in an airtight container. It'll keep for a few weeks if properly stored.
