On our first visit to Walt Disney World my 4 year old daughter had set a goal to meet EVERY princess. Like every naive first time Disney World visitor I told her it would be no problem. Little did I know!
After I made my promise to my little I emailed our travel agent and asked if there was a list of the princesses and locations. I thought this would be easy. Boy was I wrong!! Did you know that certain princesses are only at one of the parks! And then there’s certain costumes worn at different locations. Mermaid form or human form. The list of exceptions goes on and on. My head started to hurt from the list I got back. But the one thing I noticed was that Mulan was only at one location! There is only one opportunity to meet Mulan. A little anxiety started to creep in. But I told myself to stay cool. I can do this. We will find Mulan!
For those wondering, Mulan is only at China in Epcot. She is not represented anywhere else at Walt Disney World. And when you stop and think about it, it makes sense. Where else would she fit in? Not in Fantasy Land at Magic Kingdom. Maybe at Asia in Animal Kingdom? But really, China at Epcot is the best, most logical location. There is no meal you can book to meet Mulan. She only has a meet and greet. And the location can be a tad tricky to find.
How do you find her? Best thing to do is to pull the meet and greet schedule the day you plan on arriving at Epcot. Try to plan to arrive at China about 15 to 20 minutes before the meet and greet is set to start. China has a unique layout. If you are standing facing China you need to walk right down the center of the garden towards the theater. Then when you get to the theater turn towards the left. There is a little alcove there. That is where Mulan was meeting the day we saw her. I am not positive this is the normal spot but I cannot see them moving it around. If you do not know there is a meet and greet you could walk right past her. We almost did!
Out of all our meet and greets this was the most low key, laid back one. Mulan had a helper guiding children to and from her, photo pass photographer to take pictures and another cast member to keep order. They all did wonderful jobs. The line moved fairly steadily. But no child was rushed. My daughter was so happy to spend a few moments speaking with Mulan and asking about Mushu. She posed for a few pictures, signed our princess book and then we were off for our next adventure! This is the only place you can meet Mulan , so if she is on your child’s must meet list this is the place.

I love how genuine they are in the meet and greets. My daughter’s only request was to meet Snow White and was just entranced by her.

OOhh, I looked for her last year and couldn’t find her! Going back in November, so I will definitely try this.
