What child does not like building things? Like tall towers or castles? Flexo takes building and creativity to a whole new level. With Flexo you can make fun and creative sea creatures that actually float in water! This is taking bath time to a whole new level. We were sent the Crab Flexo set and I wanted to see just how easy it is to put together.
Now, there are directions in the package but I highly suggest watching the instructional video as well. I didn’t understand it very well until I watched the video then it was a breeze to put together. Also, if you find yourself short pieces, chance are you used an incorrect piece somewhere. Take a good look at your current project and make sure you used all the correct pieces. One place I went wrong was when I was sealing the pieces, I used round piece instead of a square one which caused me to be short pieces later on in the project.
The first step, lay every piece out and sort them by shape and color. Also, separate your little plastic connectors and keep them together by size as well.
The second step is to watch the video. I had the video playing on my cell phone as I was trying to put together the crab so that I could pause the video and work along with it. I found this incredibly helpful.
The whole process took me about a half hour. There are lots and lots of pieces. And be sure to use the tool enclosed with the project instead of using your nails. It can be really tough on your nail and no one likes breaking or splitting a nail. Plus that little tool will make life so much easier as you try and put this crab together.
Once my little crab was put together I gave her to Peyton. Peyton loved the crab. She thought it was really neat there was a little movement with the legs and that there were eyes. Her other block projects could not do that. And when she found out the crab floats she was eager to get in the tub and see how it works.
Bottom line, Flexo has created a one of kind product that takes brick building to a whole new level. There is movement, they float and are lots of fun.
