My daughter and I love smoothies. We are usually at a smoothie shop a few times a week. And that can get expensive. So when I was asked to tryout the Green Smoothies” The Weight Loss & Detox ebook in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion I agreed. My hope was we would find a few smoothies we liked and could start making them at home rather than running to the store every time.
Now I know the book says green smoothies and that can gross a few people out. But just because the smoothie is green does not mean it taste bad. Green smoothies can actually be sweet just like other non green smoothies. You just have to watch your ingredients.
One of my favorite smoothies in this book was the grape and kiwi smoothie. It was simple to make and tasted great. The green grapes, kiwi and spinach gave it the green color, the yogurt gave it the smooth texture and thickness it needed and orange gave it the sweetness it needed. All I had to do was toss everything in a blender and I was done. Easy. And less calories than my store bought smoothie.
If you are trying to loose weight or just be healthier over all this is a great book. There are numerous smoothies in it. You are sure to find a few that you love.
