The Grinch that Stole Christmas is a holiday favorite in our home. Usually, this time of year, we would be attending The Grinch that Stole Christmas at the Children’s Theatre or taking in a holiday party at The Alamo Drafthouse. But not this year. Instead, we are making a few Grinch themed treats to help fill our entertainment void. Today, we are making Grinch Bark!
Grinch Bark is very easy to make. It takes less than 5 minutes to make but tastes oh so yummy! And it’s always a hit in our home when I make a batch.
To make Grinch Bark you will need the following –
1 pkg Vibrant Green Chocolate Wafers
1/2 pkg White Chocolate Wafers
Red Heart Sprinkles
Christmas Sprinkle Mix
Lay down a sheet of wax paper on the counter or a pan. You are going to spread the chocolate here so this is your workspace.
In a microwave safer container, pour the green chocolate. Melt in the microwave in 30-second intervals. Be sure to stir in between intervals until chocolate is smooth.
Pour the white chocolate into another microwave safer container and melt in 30-second intervals. Be sure to stir in between intervals until chocolate is smooth.
Pour the melted green chocolate on the wax paper and spread it out to a thin layer.
Drop dollops of melted white chocolate on the green chocolate.
Take a toothpick or knife and drag it through the white dollops to create a swirled look in the chocolate.
Sprinkle the Christmas sprinkle mix all over the chocolate. I used a mix of red and green jimmies and dots.
Sprinkle the red hearts all over the chocolate.
Let the chocolate harden.
Break the cooled chocolate into chunks.
For those that want to give this as a gift, I made a Grinch bag topper that you can use if you are gifting these treats for the holidays.
Otherwise, you can serve it on a plate.
Be sure to store in an airtight container in a cool place.
