Healthy Alternatives To Daily Indulgences

December 4, 2017 By Shanna Leave a Comment

It can often feel like the world is out to get you when you’re living in a modern city or town. Around each bend, you find the same mix of temptation and trickery, making it hard to know what is good or bad. This leads to a lot of indulgence in people’s lives. Although not a problem on its own, this sort of consumption is very bad when it is causing you health problems. So, to help you out, this post will be exploring some of the most common modern vices, along with some of the ways you can find alternatives to them.

Keurig 55 Baby Shower

Coffee: Giving you a great boost at the start of the day, it’s easy to see why so many people drink coffee each day. For a lot of people, cutting this out of their life is impossible, even though the impact on their heart and other organs is very extreme. Options like Le-Vel Thrive are able to replicate the taste and aroma of normal coffee. But, to make them healthier, they lack a lot of the chemicals which make regular options bad.

Chocolate: Along with coffee, a large portion of the world’s popular likes to eat chocolate from time to time. Unfortunately, though, it can be very easy to let motivation slip in this area, resulting in eating it each and every day. To solve this issue, options like Carob taste like chocolate, without all of the nasty ingredients. This can make your guilty pleasure a lot less guilty.

Smoking: Now, it’s time to consider something which everyone knows is bad, but a large portion of the popular likes to do; smoking. Nowadays, modern vaping and e-cigarette tools make it easy to quit normal smokes, replacing them with something much healthier. Of course, though, the jury is still out on this sort of tech, and it could be worth waiting a couple of years to make sure they’re safe.

Video Games: When life is very busy, you have stress on the horizon, and work is getting to be too much, it can be very tempting to throw all of your free time into a different life. Video games can be great fun, giving you the chance to play with friends and have a good time. But, unfortunately, they can also be highly addictive. To solve this issue, written puzzles can be a good substitute, while using parental settings would limit your account in the right way.

Social Media: As the last area to consider, it’s time to think about another digital dependence; social media. Over the last few years, there have been loads of cases of people struggling with this sort of issue. Thankfully, solving this can be as simple as talking to people face to face, while also uninstalling apps from your devices.

Hopefully, this post will inspire you to start working on the parts of your life which could be a little healthier. In reality, with the exception of smoking, each item on this list can be perfectly healthy to indulge in. Of course, though, this is only the case in moderation, and not when you’re binging.
