Fill Your House with the Scent of Home

I received one or more of the products or services mentioned above for free in the hope I would mention it on my blog. Regardless, I only recommend products or services and believe will be good for my readers. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR, Part 255: "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising."

Our sense of smell is tied to our memories. Ever notice how when you smell pine trees it probably stirs up memories of the holidays? Or how if you smell a particular baked good it might bring up memories from your childhood? Or how a perfume or cologne can instantly make you think of a loved one? See what I mean? A smell can bring up memories and bring back exactly how we felt during those moments.

Minnesota Homesick Candles

Homesick is a candle making company that is taking those scents and creating hand-poured candles that are perfect for gift giving. Homesick creates each scent in small batches right here in the United States. The small batches help to ensure their high-quality standards.

We chose to try out the Minnesota Homesick candle to see if it reminds us of our home state. Each candle has layered notes to help you get all the scents from home. For Minnesota, the top note is apple and maple – two things Minnesota is definitely known for. We all love picking apples in the fall and maple syrup season is a must for Minnesotans. The mid notes are Apple, Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Clove, Peppermint and the base notes are Baked, Vanilla, Sugar, Tonka Bean, Musk. Put all these together in a soy wax candle and you have the Minnesota candle!

Homesick makes a candle for every state as well as various cities, countries, holidays and more. Each candle is 13.75 oz and burns approximately 60-80 hours and is made of soy wax. You have a clean burning candle that is sure to please. Remember to trim your wick every time to keep a small, clean flame.  Once you have burned your candle down you can clean out the glass jar and reuse it for something else. You could use it for a coin jar or even a little vase for wildflowers.

You can purchase your own Homesick candle online.
