Nothing is more exciting than driving your brand new vehicle off the dealerships lot. That new car smell, the shine of the sun on the hood and the newness of it all. But then winter hits and reality hits. Winter and all that comes with it is going to take a toll on the inside of your vehicle! Today, I’m going to share with you how I keep my car looking it’s best despite Mother’s Nature attempts.
Back Seat Cover
If you have small children this is an absolute must year round. I purchased a back seat covered intended for dogs. Why? It is waterproof! So anything they spill or if they get sick stays on the cover and does not get through to my seats! There are slots to access the seat belts so this cover still keep the backseat fully functional but now it’s protected.
Once your backseat cover gets soiled you can either toss it in the washer and hang it out to dry or replace it. I replace mine probably every year to 18 months depending on how bad it starts to look.
WeatherTech Mats
I cannot say enough good things about these mats. I purchased a set of WeatherTech Matts from the dealership when I bought my SUV. They are made to fit my vehicle perfectly and they do. The biggest difference I’ve noticed in them is that they have high sides which keep all the snow, dirt and ick on the mats and not on the carpet in your vehicle.
Mini Trash Can
Keep a trash can or bag in the vehicle to put trash in. It will help keep it up off the floor of your vehicle or from it gathering under the seats. Get your whole family in the habit of tossing the trash in the bag and the days of picking trash up off the floor will be but a faded memory.
These little adjustments will make the world of difference on how your car looks this winter. Plus, it’ll make getting ready for spring a snap!
