Indulge Your Senses with Aera

Our senses play a huge role in how we feel. Have you ever noticed when you walk into a bakery and the smell of fresh baked bread surrounds you, how you feel warm and comfortable? Or if you walk into a home, where someone has been baking all day long? Or when it’s spring time and having the windows open with the breeze flowing through the house is refreshing? All those feelings are driven by your sense of smell. So many of us use various air fresheners in our homes. Air fresheners are helpful in creating an ambiance but cannot be regulated and some can even be dangerous.  Aera is a home fragrance system that will change the way you look at your home.

My favorite feature of Aera is that I can program it from my phone. Yes, you read that right. I can turn it off and on from my phone, even when I’m not at home. AND I can adjust the strength of the fragrance! It’s truly unlike any home fragrance product I have every used.

Now, I’m not a tech expert nor am I that great at working high tech products. When I first saw Area, I’ll be honest, I was intimidated. But I followed the step by step instructions and it was a breeze. The hardest thing was taking the Aera out of the box. The rest was simple.

First thing I did was plug the Aera into the wall and turn it on. Then downloaded the ap to my phone. The ap will walk you through the setup. It took me less than 5 minutes to download the ap and program the Aera. You will need your wifi password for setup. I thought the process was extremely easy. Then all I had to do was insert the fragrance capsule and I was ready to enjoy. That’s all there is to it.

When it was time to go to bed last night, all I did was pick up my phone, open the ap and turn the Aera off. You can turn the fragrance off! So when you are not at home or sleeping you will not be scenting a home that no one is enjoying. Then when I got up this morning, I picked up my phone and turned the Aera on. By the time I was done feeding the cat and switching the laundry I could smell the Zephyr fragrance.

Aera has created 6 year round scents and has 2 holiday scents. I’ve been using the Zephyr fragrance and really like it. With notes of lotus petals, lily of the valley and sandalwood it brings a sense of freshness to the home. I find it to be invigorating and perfect for helping start the morning. Curiosity – Curiosity evokes carefree summer days though notes of citrus, crisp pear, and luscious florals. This sun-ripened scent, both fresh and intoxicating – inspires a mindful, relaxing alertness – like a daydream.

Moondance – Moondance is at once playful and sophisticated – its floral notes of iris and red honeysuckle are accented by bergamot and melon. With a trace of smoke, woods and vanilla to round out its effect, Moondance will entrance you with its ancient powers of relaxation.

Odyssey – Odyssey takes you on a surprising journey through multiple mood states – from attention, to relaxation, to the wonder of fantasy with aromatic juniper, soothing woods, and a surprising aquatic aspect.

Vibrance – Intoxicating yet invigorating, Vibrance will plunge you into a tropical paradise of flowers teeming with luscious gardenia, ylang-ylang and tuberose. But before you sink in too deep, invigorating green notes of grapefruit and lemon, balanced with violet leaf and fig, will revive and refresh you.

These fragrances are available year round. One capsule will last approximately 1400 hours depending on how strong you have the Aera set for. Did I forget to mention that you can set the strength of the fragrance? From 1 to 10? Tell me what other device you can do that with. So, you have 1,400 hours of fragrance, you can turn the machine on and off and you can control the strength. Think of how long each capsule will last.

There are also two holiday fragrances.

Celebrations – The warmth of the holiday season is embodied in our Celebrations fragrance. A medley of fragrant spices, including cinnamon, clove, cardamom and nutmeg, mingle with the essence of soft woods and orange zest to create a joyful and inviting atmosphere in your home.

Snowfall – For our Snowfall fragrance, imagine heavy boughs of noble fir-laden with fresh snow lining a familiar path. The beauty of a clear winter day is brought inside as evergreens and midwinter blooms blend with a fresh snow accord to create a realm of tranquility and a welcome escape.

These two will only be around for a little while, so if you are considering either of them I would pick them up sooner than later. Now, I know I just said these last up to 1,400 hours and you might be thinking it’ll take forever to go through them. Well, if you decide you would like to change out a fragrance it’s really simple. You do not have to use the fragrance from start to finish. Simply remove the capsule from the machine by pressing the eject button. Then place the plugs back into the capsule and store in an upright position. That’s all there is to it.

Another reason I am loving my new Aera is safety. The cats cannot knock it over. With a reed diffuser, I would have to worry about it getting knocked over and spilling on Peyton or the animals. Because that would cause a chemical burn and be dangerous to their health. So I’ve never used reed diffusers in our home for that reason alone. With a candle, I have to worry about someone getting burned. And those outlet fragrances have been shown to not be safe for the home. With a traditional diffuser, I have to set it up with fresh water every single time I want to use. And with all these, I cannot control how strong of a scent I have. Aera solves all these issues.
