Yep, you read that right, the scale is going down! After a little over a month of not losing weight, I am finally losing again. I went down 2.5 lbs this week!! But remember last week I had a 2 lb gain so I netted a .5 lb weight loss. To me, that’s awesome! I’m so excited! I beat my illness, I’m off antibiotics and steroids and now my weight loss is back on track. What a great way to start August!
This week there have been a ton of changes. Peyton has been gone at her Aunts in Chicago, so it’s just me. I’ve done lots more purging of the house. That article from Nutrisystem I read when I first started this weight loss journey really resonated with me. It was all about clutter and how it can have a negative impact on your health and weight. I really feel it’s true. At least for me, it resonates. So, yesterday I took another car load of stuff we don’t need to Savers. That felt amazing! I filled up 2 bags full of books we no longer need, got rid of a bench that I’ve been tripping over for a month and several bags of clothes and miscellaneous household stuff we don’t use.
I have also spent the week doing all the laundry. I have come to the conclusion my daughter likes to hoard her dirty laundry and she has way way too many delicates. I did like 5 loads! But now, nearly all the laundry is done. I’ve even washed the bedding and made all the beds. Tonight I’m tackling some stuffed animals that have seen better days and smelled better once upon a time. It feels good to have the house coming together.
Walking into your home and not feeling stressed over the clutter is huge. It really makes you want to do things, want to get out and move. Before I started down this declutter journey I felt overwhelmed when I walked in the door. That lead to me not wanting to cook and just buying take out. I would avoid looking at the chaos. Not any longer! So far I have decluttered our garage, my closet, and kitchen. Those are huge tasks! My next goal is to start the bathroom, living room and Peyton’s room. I’ve done the 40 bags in 40-days challenge once this year. Now, I’m going to start it again.
And while I was cleaning and decluttering this week I kept on track with my meals and snacks. Even though I was hustling and running around I didn’t have a problem staying on track. Nutrisystem makes it easy for me to stay focused without having to devote hours to meal prep. I LOVE the Fudge Graham Bar. I keep one in my purse for days it gets crazy and I can’t sit down for lunch. It’s a tasty, chocolate, treat that is a meal replacement bar. And it’s delicious.
I also tried something new this weekend with my Nutrisystem. I’ve been on it a while and need to shake it up. So I ate breakfast for dinner! And dinner for breakfast! I woke up on Sunday just craving the chicken enchiladas, so I made them. Just because the package says dinner doesn’t mean you can only eat it after 5 pm. Then Sunday night I wasn’t very hungry so I made waffles for dinner. Sometimes I get bored with a routine so this was my way to change it up.
Nutrisystem has given me the knowledge, power, and encouragement to do this. Last month, when things were not moving and I was getting frustrated Nutrisystem was there. I never felt pressure or negativity about my stalling out. Instead, I felt encouragement and support. I read so many articles on the Numi app. Those articles helped keep me focused on my goal and gave me the inspiration I need to keep pushing. My set back was temporary. And it was. Now I’m going to start killing it again like I did before I got ill.
Nutrisystem really does work the whole you. It helps you refocus your perception about food, activities, relationships, body image and more. They realize that weight loss is a lifestyle change and it encompasses the whole you. I really like this approach. I have learned to love myself no matter what my size thanks to Nutrisystem.
Well, this week is going to be crazy! I pick up little Miss Peyton this weekend. I’m driving to Chicago Friday after work and I’m already planning on how I will stay on track. It’s very tempting to just pull off the freeway and grab a burger, but I won’t be doing that. I’ve already decided to switch my lunch and dinner that day so I will be enjoying a tasty Fudge Graham Bar while on the road. And I’m bringing the Nutrisystem popcorn for when I need a little snack. It’s a 6-hour drive to my Aunt’s house so munching can be tempting but I’ll have my snacks with me so I won’t be tempted to stop for junk food. This plan is portable. I can take it wherever I go. And I love that.
If you are ready to slow down and enjoy life while trying to drop a few pounds, check out Nutrisystem. It’s really made a difference in my life.
