If you are a Disney fanatic you know exactly what I am talking about. In 101 days, Peyton and I will be stepping off a plane and into the warmth of the Florida sun. Then we will be whisked away by the Magical Express and taken to the Art of Animation, where we will stay 9 glorious days and 8 fabulous nights! How exciting is that?
I tried to get Peyton excited this morning but it didn’t work. Peyton is only 6 years old and doesn’t know when we will be going to Disney World. I’ve only told her we will be going sometime before her next birthday. So when I told her we would be leaving in 101 days I thought she would be super excited. I thought she would grab a calendar and start counting to see if she could figure out the day we were leaving. But nope. She told me to go away and she went back to sleep! It’s times like these I wonder if she really is my child. After all, I was asleep when she was born. I didn’t see her for a few hours after she was born. I’m just sayin’.
Since jumping on the bed and shouting we are going to Disney in 101 days was not working on exciting this child I decided to try another approach. I thought I would bribe her! I asked her what she thought about getting a take out pizza tonight, coming home and making some puppy chow and watching 101 Dalmations. Outside. Poolside. Just like at a Disney resort. Guess what? Still no excitement!
Peyton sure is lucky she has me! I can be excited enough for the both of us! Well, I cannot wait to head off to Disney later this fall. I am SUPER excited! It’ll be our second time at Disney World but our first time of going with just the two of us. I think that’s what I am most excited about. We don’t have to do things we don’t want to! Every meal, ride, ect… is on our schedule. Well, I’m going to get that pizza and watch 101 Dalmations with or without Peyton tonight. She can part take in the fun if she wants. But if she truly is my kid, she’ll get on board and be super excited.
