Did you know Charles Schultz, the creator of Charlie Brown and all his friends (Peanuts), was from Minnesota? Well, he is. We are home to many pieces of Charles Schultz inspired artwork and even those amazing Peanuts character statues throughout the state. Our ValleyFair has turned the child area of the park into a Peanuts-themed wonderland for littles. Complete with rides, statues and photo ops throughout the park, any Peanuts fan would be in heaven. This year, ValleyFair is kicking off summer with Peanuts Celebrations every weekend in June!
Complete with special Peanuts-themed food available throughout the Peanuts area and available to purchase by only special tokens rounds out this celebration. Here are a few of the amazing Peanuts-themed foods you can try at Peanuts Celebration: Charlie Brownies, Linus’s Pigs in a Blanket, Patty’s Melt Sliders, Snoopy’s Fruit Juice Soda Pop, Sally’s Shrimp Plooey, Snoopy’s Golf Club Sandwich, and Charlie Brown’s Not-Too-Spicy Enchiladas. We were able to try a few of the foods like the Snoopy’s Golf Club Sandwich and Charlie Brownies, both were a hit with the kids.
Besides having special themed foods there are also one of a kind photo opportunities throughout the park. Peyton really had fun stopping and snapping a few pictures in comic strip themed photo stations. I think my favorite is this one of her hanging on to the blanket.
For the first time ever, guests will be able to snap a picture with Pig Pen! Peyton got her picture with Pig Pen while we were at the park. He’ll be in his Pig Pen by Snoopy’s Plaza for photo ops.
And if that wasn’t enough there will be special musical performance throughout the celebration at various parks and venues in the park. From sing-a-longs to concerts to performances by stunt dogs they have it all. ValleyFair is doing so many cool things every weekend from now until June 30th to celebrate the Peanuts characters. Trust me, you don’t want to miss out.
