Jeep Fun Facts

We love learning fun facts about everyday items. Today we are going to share a few fun facts we learned about Jeep. And after you read these fun facts you may want to go check out some of the 2018 Jeeps for yourself. Good thing Cass Burch Chrysler Dodge Jeep has a whole bunch of Jeeps you can test drive and check out for yourself.

The First Jeep was Designed in TWO Days!

Can you believe it? It was at a time where America was at the brink of WWII. The government knew we needed to update our fleet from Model Ts to something a little more rugged and functional.  Karl Probst designed the very first Jeep in July of 1940. To be exact, he started on July 17 and finished on July 19. He then handed over his drawings, cost estimates and the whole proposal to the government that day.

Jeeps Where Used to Deliver Mail

Next time you see a USPS delivery truck going down the road, stop and take a closer look at it. Most likely, Its a jeep! You wouldn’t think so at first glance but if you take a look at it you’ll clearly see the Jeep. It’s a workhorse and keeps working!

Jeeps are Owned by Some Pretty Influential People

Did you know that Ronal Reagan owned his own CJ8. While he was never photographed driving it around the white house it is said that he stored on the property. But he did use it often on his ranch in Californa.

Traction Control

The traction control is amazing! I went to an auto show earlier this year and couldn’t believe some of the things they offered for people to drive on. But the most impressive part of the whole demonstration was when they climbed that steep hill. That’s when I knew they were not joking about being to go up a hillside.
