Let It Go Coloring Book

Adult coloring books are a big. I mean like really really big. Every store I enter seems to have a slew of them. Let It Go coloring book by Sherise Seven is different from any other adult coloring book I’ve seen. Each page is more than just a pretty picture. There are inspirational sayings and steps for meditation and encouragement to be creative. It’s more than a coloring book. It’s about relaxing and finding your happy place. Plus it’s filled with positive messages.

Let It Go By Sherise SevenWhen the book first arrived I flipped through the pages and was surprised. Not every page has a intricate picture to color. Some pages are encouraging you to draw or doodle, some just have a positive message and some are exercises like write down the 5 things that make you happy. As I read through the book I found myself embracing the exercises and being appreciative for all the wonderful things I have in my life.  Sometimes life gets hectic and you lose sight of what’s truly important. If you participate in the exercises in Let It Go you will refocus yourself and your energy.

Let It Go Adult Coloring BookI also like adult coloring books because it’s something I can do with my daughter. She can take out her coloring books and I can take out mine and we sit together, sharing a box of colored pencils coloring and talking. I find it’s a great way to get her to just chat about what’s going on in her little world. I even did a few of the exercises with her and she had a blast! There’s a page where you pick 3 colors and have to color them in a pattern. This was exciting to my daughter because she loves patterns. The theory behind it is you will find yourself relax and unwind as you complete the repetitive task of coloring in a pattern.  I didn’t believe it when I first read it but after I had been working on my page for 10 minutes I realized just how relaxing it is.

You can pick up your own copy of Let It Go online or Amazon.
