While I was in Palm Springs this month I spent a fair amount of time in the Lexus RX 350L. Do you know why I wanted to drive the Lexus RX 350L? First, it’s a luxury SUV all about family with its third row. And second, it’s Delilah’s car on A Million Little Things! She’s my favorite character on the show. Even the producer of A Million Little Things knew that the Lexus RX was the perfect family SUV.
My first time in the RX was about a 3 hours drive from LAX to the Miramonte Indian Wells Resort & Spa. That’s a fairly long drive after a 4-hour flight. The Lexus RX 350L made those 3 hours fly by. I really liked the SIRUS XM radio that comes standard in all Lexus vehicles. We were able to jam away to our favorite tunes while we drove along.
Another thing to point is how smooth the ride is. The ability to ease through traffic while trying to get to the exit so you don’t miss your chance to try In and Out Burgers proved to me that this was a car for moms. I mean, how many times have you been driving down the road and needed to get over before you missed your exit because you were distracted by something the kids where doing? I know it happens to me on nearly a weekly basis. With the assistance of the panoramic view monitor, I can easily see if I have any vehicles in my blind spots and make sure my way to the exit is clear. The panoramic view monitor gives you a birds-eye view of your vehicle and what’s around you.
The Lexus RX 350L comes with AWD (all-wheel drive)- living in Minnesota and driving Peyton to school everyone morning on the bluffs by the winter means I want AWD. AWD gives me peace of mind knowing I have the best traction and control of my vehicle. We have hills, steep hills, and in the winter they are icy and can be intimidating, having AWD means the difference of sitting at the bottom of the hill and not being able to get up it to gently gliding up the hill to your desired destination.
Also, that third row comes in handy. You do lose trunk space when you are using it but I rather have a smaller trunk with plenty of room for Peyton and her friends than having to take 2 cars to transport everyone. You lose all that time together, singing songs, being silly and just having a good time when you have to split the kids up into different cars. Plus, have you ever tried to coordinate lunch breaks or potty breaks when half your group is in one car and half in the other? I have and I can confirm that it is doable but a total pain. You are relying on a passenger to text or call the other car and for the other car to respond. Sometimes you just do not time for that delay.
These are just a few of the reason I fell in love with the Lexus RX 350L. She’s spacious, plenty of room for your family and friends drives smooth and is full of safety features to keep you and loved ones safe.
