This year has been the year I am focusing on health. If you’ve been following along I’m sure you’ve noticed my weight loss journey that I am sharing as well as the healthier recipes I’ve been sharing. Last year, I was diagnosed with PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), it has caused me to re-evaluate our lifestyle and make some big changes. 1 in 10 women has PCOS*, that’s a pretty big number! And of those diagnosed, half of them will become insulin-resistant.* I’m taking steps to improve my health while living with PCOS. One of the changes I’ve made is taking supplements like Nature MadeⓇ Daily Diabetes Health Pack, it’s full of vitamins and minerals to help fill in gaps from my diet. Nature MadeⓇ Daily Diabetes Health Pack is scientifically formulated to supply nutritional support for people with diabetes or prediabetes. †

Nature Made DiabetesThere are several changes I am making to live a healthier lifestyle. Riding my diet of overly processed foods and limited my sugar intake is just one of the steps I have taken over the past few months. Another is planning my meals. You will be amazed how much your life changes when you take a few hours out of your week to plan out your meals rather than winging it each night. We now eat healthier meals that are full of lean protein, fresh vegetable and low in starches. If you are just starting your meal planning and not sure how to get started I have this handy shopping guide with a list of foods which are low-glycemic, low in sugars and full of lean protein suggestions. I highly suggest filling your cart with items off the list to keep on hand so that when those midnight munchies hit you can reach for a healthy option, like popcorn.

Nature Made Diabetes Health PackNature MadeⓇ Daily Diabetes Health Pack is available at your local Sam’s Club or online. I ordered mine online from the comfort of my living room.

Besides eating a balanced diet full of lean proteins, high in fiber and low in sugar you may need something to help fill in the gaps. For me, I’ve been using the Nature MadeⓇ Daily Diabetes Health Pack, it comes with everything I need to help ensure my diet is balanced and my body is getting the minerals and nutrients it needs. And the best part is a day worth of supplements is proportioned in an individually sealed pack. This is perfect for summer travel! Or to keep in my purse so I don’t forget. Each packet contains a multivitamin, fish oil with vitamin D3, magnesium, Vitamin C, Alpha Lipoic Acid with Green Tea and Chromium. Why these specific minerals?

Green Chef Organic FoodsMultivitamin/Mineral: A supplement providing essential vitamins and minerals for daily nutritional support. † Fish Oil with Vitamin D3: Fish oil provides essential omega-3 fatty acids, EPA DHA, which help support a healthy heart. † Vitamin D supports bone, teeth, muscle and immune health.† Vitamin D3 is the body’s preferred form of vitamin D.*

Vitamin D3 is more effective than vitamin D2 at raising and maintaining adequate levels of vitamin D in the body. †

Magnesium: Magnesium participates in more than 300 reactions in the body and is essential for nerve, muscle and heart function. Magnesium also supports healthy bones and teeth and helps convert food to cellular energy.†

Vitamin C: Vitamin C helps neutralize free radicals and helps iron get absorbed into the body. Vitamin C also helps support the immune system.†

Alpha Lipoic Acid with Green Tea: Antioxidant properties which neutralize free radicals.†

Chromium: Chromium is necessary for carbohydrate metabolism and utilization, and helps support healthy glucose metabolism.†

Reactorz Light Up Playground BallOn top of eating healthy and taking supplements, we are also spending more family time together doing activities. Peyton and I are spending time together by going on bike rides or walks. Last weekend we spent some time kicking a ball around the yard. All these help get us up and moving plus we get to hang out. It’s a win-win for us!
