Easy M&M Cheesecake Dip Recipe (Perfect Party Dessert)

Easy M&M Cheesecake Dip

One of my favorite things about each holiday season is seeing all the limited-edition M&M flavors hit store shelves. Whether it’s spring, summer, Halloween, Christmas, or Easter, I can’t resist picking up a bag to see what fun recipe I can create next.

This creamy M&M Cheesecake Dip is one of those desserts that couldn’t be easier to make. It comes together in just a few minutes with only a handful of ingredients, making it perfect for holiday parties, birthday celebrations, game nights, or anytime you need a quick sweet treat.

The rich cheesecake flavor pairs perfectly with the crunchy M&M candies, and it’s delicious served with cookies, graham crackers, pretzels, or fresh fruit.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  • No baking required
  • Ready in just 10 minutes
  • Only 5 simple ingredients
  • Perfect for parties
  • Easy to customize with seasonal M&M flavors
  • Great make-ahead dessert

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces Cool Whip, thawed
  • 1 (3-ounce) package instant cheesecake pudding mix
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup Cheesecake M&M’s (or another seasonal flavor)
  • Cookies, graham crackers, pretzels, or fresh fruit for dipping

How to Make M&M Cheesecake Dip

Step 1: Mix the Base

In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed Cool Whip and the instant cheesecake pudding mix.

Gently stir until the pudding mix is evenly distributed.

Step 2: Add the Milk

Pour in the milk and continue mixing until the dip becomes smooth and creamy.

I recommend stirring by hand instead of using a hand mixer. Mixing by hand helps keep the dip light and fluffy while preventing it from becoming overmixed.

Step 3: Transfer to a Serving Bowl

Spoon the cheesecake dip into your favorite serving bowl.

Smooth the top with the back of a spoon.

Step 4: Add the M&M’s

Sprinkle the Cheesecake M&M’s over the top just before serving.

For extra color, save a handful to sprinkle on immediately before guests arrive.

Step 5: Serve

Arrange your favorite dippers around the bowl and enjoy!

Some of our favorites include:

  • Vanilla wafers
  • Graham crackers
  • Shortbread cookies
  • Nilla Wafers
  • Animal crackers
  • Pretzels
  • Apple slices
  • Strawberries
  • Banana slices

Tips for the Best Cheesecake Dip

  • Allow the Cool Whip to thaw completely before mixing.
  • Mix gently by hand to keep the dip fluffy.
  • Chill for 30 minutes before serving if you prefer a thicker consistency.
  • Add the M&M’s just before serving so they stay crunchy.

Easy Variations

One of the best things about this recipe is how easy it is to customize throughout the year.

Try using different M&M flavors such as:

  • Peanut Butter M&M’s
  • Caramel Cold Brew M&M’s
  • Cookies & Cream M&M’s
  • Peanut M&M’s
  • Mini M&M’s
  • Holiday-themed M&M’s
  • Easter M&M’s
  • Halloween M&M’s
  • Christmas M&M’s
  • Valentine’s Day M&M’s

Each variety gives this dip a completely different twist.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make this ahead of time?

Yes! Prepare the dip up to 24 hours in advance and store it covered in the refrigerator. Add the M&M’s just before serving for the best texture.

Can I freeze cheesecake dip?

Freezing isn’t recommended. The texture changes as it thaws and won’t be as light and creamy.

Can I use homemade whipped cream?

You can, although Cool Whip helps the dip stay fluffy and stable for parties and gatherings.

How long will it last?

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
