Make Meal Time Fun

Peyton's Momma Product DisclosureI remember when Peyton was learning how to eat solid foods. Oh my gosh was it a mess! Like a huge mess. There were many a days she went right from the high chair and into the bath to get cleaned up. I would also end up vacuuming and cleaning the floor and everything around the highchair because Peyton liked to fling dishes. And she had one heck of an arm! Now there a placemat that doubles as a plate and suction cups to the table! I wish they would’ve had these when Peyton was little. Messless PlacematEmerald Kites makes a mess less placemat that toddler love. I tried it out with my little niece this weekend. What a difference! She has a highchair that attached to the chair so she can eat at the table with us or with a tray. This time, we let her eat at the table with us! Before we put her in the chair I set up the table. I made sure the table was clean and dry then I put the placemat down. It was easy to get it to stick to the table. Next, I put a little macaroni and cheese in the middle and a few sliced strawberries in one ear and goldfish crackers in the other ear. Once I had the table set up I went and got the baby. Her little eyes lit up when she saw her new set up.

Toddler PlacematAll kids want to be at the table with the family and now my niece was.  She is eating mostly finger foods at this point but we did give her a spoon to see if she wanted to try feeding herself the macaroni and cheese. And she went with the fingers. But what I noticed was, there were no flying dishes! Yes, we had some dropped food but the placemat stayed in place and didn’t end up everywhere.

When it was time to clean up I took the placemat and shook it out over the trashcan. Then I washed it with warm, soapy water and let it air dry. It was really easy to clean.  I would have loved this when Peyton was little! You can purchase the messless placemat by Emerald Kites online. It’s available in coral and mint.
