If you have been waiting for Maleficent Mistress of Evil to be available to watch at home, your wait is over! Peyton and I saw Maleficent Mistress of Evil while it was in the theater but we could not wait for it to come out on Blu-Ray. We really enjoyed the movie and couldn’t wait to own it. Plus, there is so much detail and so much going on that it’s a movie you can watch several times and see something you missed the last go around.
The female leads in this movie are really something. Angelina Jolie brings Maleficient to life and gives her a little twist of humor, while it may be dry it’s still humor. It helps you like Maleficient and reminds you that she has feelings, she’s not the nasty villain we’ve all read about in fairy tales. There’s more to Maleficient than those books tell us.
Michelle Pfieffer wowed us with her performance of Prince Phillip’s doting and caring mother while also being a manipulative, evil queen all at the same time. She’s very passive-aggressive hiding her true self until the end.
Then we have Aurora, she’s so kind, fair and beautiful. She wants to bring peace and harmony to all those around her.
If you missed seeing Maleficent Mistress of Evil while it was out in the theater you’ll want to see it now. Let’s be honest, the weather is kinda icky pretty much across most of the United States so it’s the perfect time to snuggle up on the couch and enjoy a good show. Maleficient is family-friendly and good for all ages.
