Maleficent Color Changing Slime

Maleficient Mistress of Evil is now available to stream online and the Blu-Ray, 4K, and DVD will available tomorrow.  Peyton and I really enjoyed watching Maleficent Mistress of Evil on the big screen so we are pretty excited to be able to watch it at home and to take in all that bonus content! So, to celebrate the release of Maleficent Mistress of Evil we have created a color-changing slime.  Why color changing? Well, this may be a spoiler for those of you that have not seen the movie, Maleficient is a phoenix, she transforms. Since I cannot do a slime that rises from the ashes, that would just be way too messy! I decided to make a slime that changes color, transform from what you think it is into what it really is. Kind of like how we see Maleficent. Some think she’s a villain but in reality, she’s a mother, kind and caring with a strong protection streak, like most mothers.

To make the Maleficent Color Changing slime at home you will need the following –

1 bottle Elmer’s Color Changing Glue – we used blue to purple
1/4 bottle Elmer’s Magical Liquid
Black Glitter

This moves fairly quickly and if you have a little one helping you may need to help with the finishing stirs.

In a glass container or disposable bowl pour all the contents of the glue.

Add in 1/4 bottle of the Elmer’s Magical Liquid and stir to combine.

It will take several minutes of stirring for this to become slime. Towards the end, it became really difficult to stir so we pour it on the counter and started working it together by hand.

Once you have slime, add in the black glitter. You can use as much or as little as you like.

For the slime to change color, take it into the sunlight and it’ll turn from blue to purple! How cool is that?

Remember to store your Maleficent slime in an airtight container.

Now you have your own slime!

Be sure to watch Maleficent Mistress of Evil this weekend while you’re making your slime.
