Reading and math are the main subjects kids need to master in elementary school. And getting a kid excited or motivated about those subjects can be a tough sell. The Mansion of Mazes is all about math and mystery. Through the power of reading and comprehension, the reader uses math to solve the mystery! How cool is that?
The Mansion of Mazes has been burglarized and it’s up to the reader to solve the mystery. If you fail, the villains will escape!
Through reading and using your imagination you will make your way through these thrilling adventures. By utilizing your math skills you will decide how the plot unfolds. You will complete your mission and become a math wiz at the same time! Finding the answers will enable you to continue on your adventure until you solve the mystery and stop the villain’s escape.
What a wonderful way to excite your second, third or fourth grader to work on their reading and math skills without them even realizing it! I love this concept.
The Mansion of Mazes is intended for children 8 – 12 years of age.
The only downfall I see with this book is it’s a one time read. But it would be a perfect gift for a child that is struggling with finding the passion of reading and/or math. Or how about a teacher gift? I know a teacher would love to have these in their classroom.
