Minnie Mouse Inspired Marshmallow Treats

Minnie Mouse is a huge hit with preschoolers. I’m an adult and I love Minnie Mouse. So when I heard Minnie Bow Be Mine was coming out on DVD February 5th I decided I would make a little treat to go along with the release. Who doesn’t like to munch on treats when they watch a movie? I do. That’s one of our favorite things about going to the movie theater.  So today we are going to be making Minnie Mouse Inspired Marshmallow Treats.

Pink Marshmallow TreatsTo make these yummy little treats at home you will need the following –

12 Jumbo Marshmallows
12 Lollipop Sticks
1 pkg Light Pink Chocolate Wafers
1 pkg Hot Pink Chocolate Wafers
Pink Sugar Sprinkles
White Sugar Sprinkles

Minnie Mouse Inspired Marshmallow TreatsFirst, pour the wafers into to two microwave safe bowls. You will microwave the wafers in 30 second intervals, stirring in between until the chocolate is melted and smooth.

Minnie Mouse Inspired Marshmallow TreatsSecond, take a lollipop stick and dip it in the chocolate and then press into your marshmallow. You’ll want to let these set up for a few minutes.

Minnie Mouse Inspired Marshmallow TreatsOnce the lollipop stick is secure, dip the jumbo marshmallow into either the light pink or bright pink chocolate. Be sure to give it a few gentle shakes to get off any excess chocolate.

Then roll the marshmallow in the sprinkles.

Minnie Mouse Inspired Marshmallow TreatsPlace on wax paper for the chocolate to set up.

If you have too much chocolate you risk having it all runoff and then there will be no sprinkles on your treat. That would make for some very sad kiddos. You can also put your wax paper on a cookie sheet and then pop them in the fridge for a few minutes to help the chocolate set up fast but be sure to not leave them in there too long or your marshmallow will get hard.

Once your chocolate is set up you have two options. Serve them and enjoy them. Or put them in an airtight container in a cool area to enjoy later. It’s up to you!
