Monster Truck Mountain Rescue

Peyton's Momma Book DisclosureHave you ever been to a monster truck event? Are you a fan of monster trucks? Do you have a little one obsessed with trucks? If you answered yes, then you are going to love Monster Truck Mountain Rescue. In Monster Truck Mountain Rescue we meet Mouse, the driver of the monster truck. When we start reading we see Mouse getting ready for a monster truck event. Mouse puts on his safety gear and climbs into the huge monster truck.

Monster Truck Mountain Rescue by Peter BentlyWe watch as Mouse races through the obstacle course, crushing buses and cars. It looks like Mouse is having a really good time! Nothing can stop the monster truck. Mouse was so good at the obstacle course that he was the first one to cross the finish line. And he crossed that finish line while popping a wheelie.

After the race, Mouse decides to head home but there’s a police care and fire engine blocking the road. When Mouse gets out to investigate, be finds out a climber is stuck in an avalanche! Rescue vehicles are trying to help but they just can’t reach the climber. The helicopter can see the climber but there is nowhere for them to land. Mouse knew what he had to do. He climbed back in his monster truck and started to head up the mountain, over the fallen rocks to where the climber was stuck.

Mouse was able to reach the climber and help him into the monster truck. Once they were at the bottom of the hill everyone congratulates Mouse on a rescue well done. And Mouse congratulates the monster truck.

At the end of the story, there’s a two-page illustration of the monster truck with all the features labeled.  This makes for a great discussion with littles ones as you talk about all the different parts of the monster truck and what they are for.

Monster Truck Mountain Rescue is available online and at your local book retailer.
