The Perfect Cheesy Snack for On The Go

I received one or more of the products or services mentioned above for free in the hope I would mention it on my blog. Regardless, I only recommend products or services and believe will be good for my readers. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR, Part 255: "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising."It’s summertime! If your family is anything like mine that means you are out and about enjoying all the summer activities. Taking in festivals, art crawls, maybe doing a little road trip, hiking the local parks and taking in the zoo.  Those are all things we’ve done this summer. But what do they all have in common? Anyone? They are all on the go with limited access to snacks. And if you have children with you, you need snacks. Preferably ones that travel easily and taste great. Moon Cheese is all that and delicious too!

Moon Cheese Cheddar Gouda and Pepper JackSo what is Moon Cheese? I’ll admit it is a little bit funny to say the name. Peyton says it makes her think of someone flying up to the moon and cutting a big chunk off of it and bringing it back to earth. Because, ya know, the moon is made of cheese.  But it’s really a tasty little cheese snack that requires no refrigeration! So, you can literally take them anywhere.

Peyton at the ZooWhat are few traits of a great road trip snack? From mom’s point of view – not messy, portable, taste great and the kids like it. From the kid’s point of view – taste great, is fun to eat and can come with on the trip. Moon Cheese meets all those traits and more. Not only are they tasty but they are also healthy! They are high in protein, gluten-free, and made of 100% cheese.  In my opinion, that’s pretty awesome. Plus I love the crunch, makes me feel like I’m eating a chip but I’m not, I’m eating cheese!

Kentucky Road TripDo you know what’s also pretty awesome about these little bits of cheese heaven? Each Moon Cheese serving is 70 calories and 4-5 grams of protein! So while your kids are thinking they are getting a treat, you know you are really giving them something that is good for them. If you really want to be the best mom around grab some dried fruit, think apple slices, and pair them with these. Perfect on the go snack idea! No mess, no fuss and it’s a tummy pleaser.

Moon Cheese Pepper JackMoon Cheese is really easy to find, once you know to look for it. You can find it at select Target, Whole Foods, CVS, Starbucks, Wegman’s, Weis and REI stores. And it comes in three delicious varieties – Gouda, Cheddar and Pepper Jack (my favorite).  Moon Cheese is your high in protein, low-carb, all natural, gluten free and a source of calcium in a snack that is easy to travel with and your kid will be asking for.
