The holidays are here! We kick off the holiday season with Halloween, then roll into Thanksgiving and wrap it all up with Christmas. While we all know the holidays are going to look a little different this year I have some ideas on how to make them more fun and less scary for the little. Our kids have all been masks since about March or so. I think it’s been mandated around most of the country since the middle of summer. I don’t know about your kids, but my kid is having mask burnout. She is over the basic blue or the cloth ones I purchased. She’s over masks. So, to help keep her on board I started to look for some fun masks for the holidays. And I found them! Amazon has a ton of fun disposable masks in kid’s sizes and adult sizes. I’m going to share with you a few of my favorites.
Many of you know, Peyton and I are heading out on our first travel piece next week since COVID hit. We were in the middle of covering the Minneapolis Auto Show when COVID shut everything down here in Minnesota and we have not been out since. We have been practicing social distancing and using sanitizer on everything. But we are going to brave this new world and head to Florida next week for 2 weeks. That means we need masks. Like lots and lots of masks!
I have spoken to several people that have been traveling during this time and the one thing I hear over and over is bring lots of masks. Like, take what you were thinking about bringing and bring double that amount.
I’ve also heard about the struggle of having somewhere to wash your cloth masks and dry them while traveling. There’s not always a clean space to hang them up in hotel rooms.
My solution, we are bringing mostly disposable masks. I don’t want to worry about washing masks while we are in hotels. We won’t have easy access to a washer. I know, I could bring a salad spinner and wash them in the room. But that can get messy and has it’s drawbacks as well.
So I am bringing disposable masks. Enough for 5 per person per day. Now, I know we won’t always need that many. But, what if you drop it on the floor? I don’t want to put that back on my face! Or what if it gets wet in a sudden downpour? New mask. So, I feel saying 5 per day per person is pretty conservative. But we’ll have plenty back in the room if we run out. I’ll also have a few cloth ones in my backpack just in case we do run out.
For Halloween here are my favorite disposable masks. They come in an assortment of Halloween scenes or you can purchase a pack of all the same. I chose to get the one with an assortment. These will be so much fun to wear the whole month of October!
I didn’t see any specific Thanksgiving disposable masks but there were these super cute tie-dye disposable masks in kid sizes. You could use up the Halloween masks and then use these as a filler until you want to use Christmas masks.
These are perfect for the kids for Christmas! Plus they have matching sets in adult sizes too! So the whole family can match or they can each pick their favorite design.
These are some great options for children size disposable face masks. I have personally purchased a few of these to use myself and for Peyton. They have arrived quickly and have been great to use.
