My Christmas Stocking

My Christmas Stocking is a board book for the little ones. The story is simple yet engaging for young readers. I like how they made the book in the shape of a stocking, it’s just another way to grab little ones attentions. Each page is filled with colorful pictures that will draw in little ones eyes.

Now this story does have a religious undertone. But I personally do not feel it’s overwhelming and it is appropriate since we are talking about Christmas.  My Christmas Stocking help explain to little children why we hang our stockings by the fire place. It goes into how Saint Nicholas wanted to show love to all humankind and thought giving gifts wherever he went would help share his love. So that’s what he did. And on occasion he would hide very special gifts in people’s stockings. Fast forward to current time and we have now adapted it as a Christmas tradition.

This is a very cute story about Saint Nicholas and how hanging our stocking by the fire and filling them with gifts came about. It’s simple enough that a young child can understand. And the illustrations are beautiful.
