I love peppermint and I love chocolate so when I saw these Peppermint M&Ms I just knew I had to pick them up. I have so many ideas for them!! So be on the lookout for a shake and possibly a cake too! But first up, Peppermint M&M Chocolate Cookies. They are sure to be a huge hit at your next holiday party.
To make these Peppermint M&M Chocolate Cookies you will need the following –
5oz Box Chocolate Cake Mix
2 Eggs
1/2 Cup Melted Butter
1/2 Chocolate Chips
Peppermint M&M’s
It’s a pretty simple recipe and doesn’t take long to make. You can bake them ahead of time or if you have company coming over, pre-bake the dough and bake them right before you want to serve them. Nothing is better than a warm cookie and a cold glass of milk!
First, pour the chocolate cake mix into a large mixing bowl.
Then add in the chocolate chips.
Add in the two eggs. I always suggest cracking your eggs into a separate bowl first just to make sure they are fresh and to avoid any shells getting into the cookie mix.
Pour in your melted butter and mix it all together.
There are 2 ways to add the Peppermint M&Ms, you can either pour them directly into the batter and have them mixed into the cookie or you can place them on top or you can do a combination of both. It’s up to you. For this one, I put them on before I baked them.
Scoop the dough into tablespoon-sized circles onto a non-stick baking sheet.
Next, take several M&M’s and place them on top of the cookie dough.
Bake for 10 minutes or until cookies are set and lightly browned at 350 degrees.
These taste amazing right out of the oven with a cold glass of milk. But you can also reheat them in the microwave for a few seconds to get that fresh from the oven taste.
