There is only so much you can do with a Bento Box when your kid is fixated on sandwiches. But, last night we had Schwan’s Four Cheese Pizza. It is by far the best cheese pizza I have found. Well, we had almost half a pizza left over so this morning I decided to use it in Peyton’s Bentgo box. I was not sure how well this was going to go over with Peyt. She is on a PB&J kick lately. So as Peyton was munching on her cereal I started to cut the pizza into little circles. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw what I was doing and became really excited! Whew!! Pizza was ok with her.Since we are going camping next week I’m trying to use up what we have in the fridge and I’m also trying to not buy groceries. For fruit today I sliced up a kiwi. There’s a large bag of Babybel cheese in our fridge so I threw one of those in her box too.
As I was rummaging around in the fridge I found a few pudding cups in the back! I’m trying to use those up so I can make some homemade pudding for Peyton. So I grabbed that and scooped it into the bentgo box. All I had left was the little round well in the middle of the box. What should I put in there??
Then a little blurb about the Olympics came on the television and I remembered I still had red, white and blue M&Ms. What a great way to get Peyton into the patriotic spirit!
This lunch was a little hodge podgie because I was trying to use food up before it spoils. But I’m sure Peyton is going to love it!
Here are some links to tools I used to help with today’s lunch –
