Save Money on Repairs at Your Car Dealership

Ok, I know this sounds a little crazy, but did you know they actually have coupons you can use at most dealerships to get routine maintenance or repairs done on your vehicle? There is, but you need to know where to look. I’ll be honest, I had no clue that there were coupons I could use on car repairs and maintenance until my sales person told me.

Jeep Ride and Drive EventThere usually are a few ways to find out about specials or coupons that are currently being accepted in the service department. Ask to see if there is an email list you can sign up for to learn about specials. Check your mail, sometimes they are mailed out on those little postcards for promotional materials or on fliers, so be sure to read your mail. And lastly, check the website! Often, all their deals and coupons are listed on the website.

I recently had new tires placed on my SUV and saved a bundle. Right now, there is a buy 3 tires get the 4th for $1. Since I have an SUV and I buy high-end tires this saved me nearly $200! And it’s a sale that happens every fall. Know how I found out about it? I found out from my service rep. Be nice to those people behind the counter! A few months ago when I was in getting my oil changed I was chitchatting with my service rep, I told her about our upcoming trips to Chicago, Missouri and then back to Chicago. She suggested I would need new tires before winter with all that driving and then told me about the tire special. I learned about this in August so I had plenty of time to set aside some money and prepare myself for the hefty bill of new tires for my AWD Journey. But when I got the bill it was so much cheaper than I had anticipated! I was so happy, that tire special saved me a lot of money.

So, if you are heading to your dealership for service be sure to check out their website for coupons and ask about them too. You’ll never know if you don’t ask.
