Slow-Cooker Oreo Cookie Hot Chocolate

‘Tis the season for all the warm drinks! Today we are going to take a break from all the sweets and add in a delicious cocoa. I would like to note, that this cocoa pairs nicely with any of the cookies we’ve already featured this month. Plus, you can make this while you are baking a fresh batch of cookies and it’ll be ready when the cookies are ready!

Oreo Cookie Hot ChocolateTo make a batch of Oreo Cookie Hot Chocolate you will need the following –

4 C Whole Milk
2 C Heavy Whipping Cream
2 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 C Powdered Sugar
1/3 C Cocoa Powder
1/2 C Milk Chocolate Chips
Whipped Cream
Oreo Cookies

I made this in a 2 quart slow cooker and it was a tight fit. I would suggest using a 3 quart or if you only have a 2 quart to mix everything together and then pour it in the slow cooker.

Pour the milk, heavy whipping cream, vanilla, powdered sugar, and cocoa into slow cooker and mix well until combined. I used a whisk to help stir but you will need to whisk it for a little bit to really get everything combined and all the powdered chunks dissolved.

Add the chocolate chips.

Set slow cooker to high and cook for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Be sure to stir it about every 30 minutes. You are going to want to make sure you scrape the bottom when you stir to get the chocolate chips all mixed in.

You can keep this warm by turning the slow cooker down to warm once you’ve cooked it for 2 hours.

To serve, pour a generous amount of cocoa into the desired mug until 3/4 full.

Oreo Cookie Hot ChocolateTop with whipped cream and crushed Oreo cookies.  I used the winter Oreo cookies but any Oreo will do.
