Peyton has the most beautifully curly hair. But in the summer it can get a little frizzy and crazy. And if it’s humid outside….there’s no hope. I just pull her hair up in a ponytail and hope for the best. But Peyton has always wanted to have straight hair. With corkscrew curls like she has that can be a challenge. Often I need to use such a hot iron it ends up frying or frizzing out her hair. It doesn’t look smooth and straight. Today we are going to try the Cool Tools 1 ¼ Inch Conditioning Vapor Flat Iron and see if we can achieve smooth straight locks. The Cool Tools Vapor Flat Iron is different from other flat irons I have used. First off, it had a reservoir to place Argan Vapor Oil. This oil helps to smooth out your hair and infuse your hair with Argan Oil. The Cool Tools Vapor Flat Iron works at about 100 degrees less than standard flat irons, which is healthier for your hair.
Filling the reservoir with Argan Vapor Oil is simple. Remove the reservoir from the flat iron, remove the seal and pour in the Argan Vapor Oil. Then place it back on the flat iron and lock into place. It took me like 30 seconds to prep the machine. Now I was all ready to start so I turned on the flat iron and went to find Peyton. Peyton was very excited to get her hair straightened. And I was curious to see if this was going to work better than past irons I had tried. I started with a small section around Peyton’s face and started. With one pull through the curls were gone. The frizz was gone. Just smooth straight hair was left. Instantly I was impressed.
There was a little steam when I used the iron but no cause for concern. That’s the Argan Oil Vapor infusing into the hair. There was also a slight odor. Again, no need to worry. It’s just the Argan Oil Vapor.
It took me about 20 minutes to get Peyton’s hair finished. The trick to only have to pass over your hair once is to use small sections. With small sections it goes quickly and looks great. Peyton loved her straight hair. It was soft, free flowing and looked great!
