Snuggle Like a Mermaid

Review DisclosureEveryone has seen those adorable crochet mermaid tail  blankets floating around the internet. I know I have. Like every week I see it at least a few times and I think to myself how much my daughter would love this. However, it’s made from yarn and we have cats. Cats and yarn do not mix. Sure the cats would have one heck of a Saturday evening rolling around and unraveling the blanket but my daughter would be heart broken and I’d be extremely ticked. Then I found the Mermaid Tail! A super soft and cozy blanket for kids. Way better than yarn!

Mermaid Tail by LilMermaidHere are some of my reasons I am in love with the Mermaid Tail –

It’s machine washable! Let’s face it, kids are messy. (at least mine is) I want something I can wash and clean easily. The Mermaid Tail does that.

It soft and cozy. The inside is a burnt orange fabric that will make you want to snuggle in.

Perfect size for kids. Suggested for kids up to 10. I’m 5′ 2″ it I almost fit in it. I think it was more of my extra fluff that was having the issue than my height. 😉

Mermaid Tail Cozy BlanketI can go on and on and rave about the Mermaid Tail. But now I’m going to let you in on a few ways you can use this. I for one will be using it as a Tinkerbell present. Do you know what that is? Well, when traveling in Disney World with small children some parents like to encourage (aka bribe) good behavior. I myself have done this. So I tell my daughter that if she’s really good Tinkerbell will leave her a little gift that night. And if she’s not so good then there will be nothing! It works. Our first two days on vacation and Peyton was a gem. She received a cute pair of sunglasses the first morning and some princess chap sticks the second morning. Then that day she was horrible. I swear it wasn’t the same kid. So Tink never came. The next morning Peyton searched searched for her Tinkerbell gift. Nothing. She was so bummed. So that day she was an angel. And the next morning there were a set of Frozen tennis shoes. The rest of our trip I never had to worry about poor  behavior.

Well, we are heading to Disney World again this year! This time we are staying in the Little Mermaid room at the Art of Animation. I will be using the Mermaid Tail as a welcome gift! What better way than to have it with us on our trip and we are staying in the Little Mermaid room. The Mermaid Tail will be perfect for keeping her cozy while I am getting ready for the parks.

I cannot say enough good things about the Mermaid Tail. The stitching is remarkable. Not one lose stitch anywhere. The detail in the tail is impressive. And I love how the fin is not a solid purple but different shades of purple all blended together. Your little one is sure to love the Mermaid Tail.

You can pick up your own Mermaid Tail on Amazon.

This is so cute. I have never seen these before. I love the idea of Tinkerbell leaving gifts on days the children are good. This really gives them reason to be on their best behavior. Thank you for sharing

Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this blog.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very hard to
get that “perfect balance” betwesn user friendliness and visual appearance.
I must say you’ve done a fantastic job with this.
In addition, the blog loads very fast for me on Firefox.
    Excellent Blog!
