Spring is fighting to break through up here in the Midwest. We’ll get there soon! I know warmer temperatures and warm sunshine are right around the corner. Until then, we are going to stay positive and keep pressing on. To help keep our spirits up, and yours, you can make these Spring Mickey Mouse Cinnamon Rolls. They are such a treat! A great way to start the weekend off.
If you are surprising your littles with a spring break trip to the most magical place on earth, these spring Mickey Mouse cinnamon rolls are a great way to do it.
To make these yummy Spring Mickey Mouse Cinnamon Rolls you will need the following –
1 Grande Cinnamon Roll
2 Standard Size Cinnamon Roll
Springtime Sprinkles
Frosting (included in cinnamon roll package)
The first step, preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Be sure your rack is in the center and has plenty of space from the rack to top of the oven. Cinnamon rolls to rise a little and puff up as they bake.
Next, place the grande cinnamon roll on a baking sheet. You are going to want to place it towards the bottom leaving room for the ears. Also, put them about 3-5 inches apart so they do not bake together when they expand.
Take two fo the standard size cinnamon rolls and place on each side of the grande cinnamon roll. Pinch together. These will be the Mickey ears.
Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
Upon taking them out of the oven, frost them immediately for a melted frosting look. You can also wait a little while so the frosting doesn’t run as much but I wouldn’t wait more than 5-10 minutes otherwise the frosting may not melt.
Use your spring themed sprinkles and generously sprinkle the Micky Mouse Cinnamon Rolls.
Serve & enjoy!
These pair well with a little fruit bowl and glass of milk or coffee.
They are cute, simple and a hit with the young and old.
