There’s just something about fair food, the bigger the better! And that definitely holds true for these Giant Lucky Charms Treats. There is a booth at the Minnesota State Fair that sells a variety of giant cereal marshmallow covered treats. You can find nearly any type of cereal turned into a marshmallow treat. Today, we are going to make giant treats at home with one of Peyton’s favorite cereals, Lucky Charms.
To create these at home you will need the following –
1 stick of Butter, unsalted
1 bag Small Marshmallows
6-8 C Lucky Charms Cereal
To make giant treats you’ll need a loaf pan. This recipe makes 2 giant bars or you can use a larger pan and make bars that are not as thick.
Spray the pan you are going to put the treats in with a light coating of olive oil or cooking spray and set aside.
In a large pot, melt the butter over low to medium heat.
Add the marshmallows, continue to heat over low, stirring frequently until the marshmallows are smooth.
Next, stir in the cereal a few cups at a time until you have a nice evenly coated cereal.
Scoop the marshmallow covered Lucky Charms cereal into the lightly greased loaf pan. Be sure to press the cereal down so there are no air pockets.
Let the cereal cool in the pan.
Once the bars are cooled, slice into two bars. Now you have 2 giant Lucky Charms Treats!
If you are not enjoying them immediately, wrap them in saran wrap, place in a gallon-size baggie or airtight container.
