Peyton was pretty excited when she saw the new Super Peg and Cat Guy DVD arrive in the mail. But I made her wait until tonight to watch it. I wanted it to be our Friday night treat, plus I wanted to watch it with her so I could see what all the fuss was about this Peg and Cat. Within the first few minutes, I could see what all the fuss was about. It’s super cute! Peg is a spunky little girl that solves math problems with her sidekick cat. Math! Yes, I said math. I was pleased to see a children’s show with math being portrayed in a fun and entertaining way.
In Peg + Cat: Super Peg and Cat Guy you have 4 stories –
The Arch Villian Problem – The Arch Villian turns everything in town to arches!
The Straight and Narrow Problem – The Arch Villian is at it again. But instead of turning everything into arches he turns them in shapes that are straight and narrow.
The Flat Woman Problem – Triangulo and Flat Woman join forces to triangulate and flatten the entire town!
The Race Car Problem – Peg and Cat must win against three super fast racers. But their race care is made out of junk.
Super Peg and Cat Guy last about 50 minutes. Peyton was engaged and entertained throughout the whole time. And I didn’t mind her watching it because it was teaching her about shapes, math and how to solve problems.
If you child is really into Peg + Cat there’s even a website with actives and games with Peg and Cat!
You can order Super Peg and Cat Guy at PBS Kids or Amazon. Or pickup up a copy at your local store.

I have never heard of this and it’s great that it is math instead of reading. Math is very important these days.
