It feels like we went from winter to summer in a blink of an eye! The snow is gone, we just finished our spring cleanup of the yard and our pool is being opened tomorrow. That means it’s time to start thinking about summer drinks. There’s nothing like a fruity cocktail while hanging out around the pool with friends. Martinis are simple yet versatile drinks that can come in a variety of flavors. Today, I’m going to share this delicious Tropical Martini with you! It’s refreshing perfect for any summer get-together.
To make this tropical martini you will need the following –
2oz Pineapple Juice
1oz Coconut Rum
1oz Triple Sec
1oz Vodka
Ice Cubes
Cherry (Garnish)
Pineapple Slice (Garnish)
Cocktail Shaker
Martini Glass
Martinis do taste best when made individually but you can always double the recipe to make 2 at once. Just make sure you have a cocktail shaker that is big enough to accommodate the increase in alcohol.
I also prefer to use ice cubes made with filtered water or store-bought. And bigger ice cubes work best too, they melt slower so your drink will not become water down while shaking, just chilled.
First, place a few ice cubes in your cocktail shaker.
Then pour the pineapple juice, coconut rum, triple sec, and vodka into the cocktail shaker.
Place the cover on the cocktail shaker, now it’s time to shake! Give the cocktail shaker some shakes to combine the flavors and chill your martini.
Once you feel your martini has been shaken well it’s time to pour it in a glass.
But first, place a cherry on the bottom or the martini glass.
Then pour your martini into the glass and garnish with a pineapple slice and additional cherry.
Enjoy!
These will be a huge hit at any backyard BBQ this summer.
