Unicorns are all the rage right now. I think nearly every birthday party that I have been to or thrown in the last 6 months have all been unicorn themed. Peyton’s in love with them so much that I made her a huge 7 layer unicorn cake for her birthday! So when I saw this unicorn bedding I knew we had to have it.
Peyton’s bedroom is ready for a little makeover and it looks like tonight is the night she is going to get it. The easiest thing to change out is her bedding. I keep the rest of the room neutral so when she wants to change it up it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. For our current room makeover, we got rid of all things princesses and brought in unicorns! Plus we added some display shelves so she can display her souvenirs from our trips.
We are using a queen Unicorn duvet on Peyton’s bed. You can use a down comforter or an old comforter inside to help give it some bulk. We are using a down comforter in this one. It helps make it more squishy and soft, in Peyton’s words. I really liked the bedding because it was easy to put the down comforter in. Peyton loves the bedding because it’s a HUGE unicorn all over her bed now. My only disappointment came in the pillowcases. There are 2 but only one has the unicorn, the other one has some weird plant life on it that in my opinion does not really go with the comforter. I really would have preferred to have 2 cases with unicorns. The display picture showed 2 but I only got 1 unicorn.
Another thing I like about this set is all the colours! It will be easy to find some sheets to go with. I can pull out pinks, purples, blues or even greens to find a nice pastel sheet set. It’ll also be easy to find a little throw for the foot of her bed too.
The queen duvet definitely fits our full-size bed well. Peyton loves it so I love it. It was a successful room makeover!
