Easy Halloween Bento Lunch Idea for Kids | Ghost PB&J Lunch Box
Easy Halloween Bento Lunch Idea for Kids One of my favorite parts about packing school lunches is finding fun ways to celebrate the holidays. A simple cookie cutter can turn an ordinary lunch into something your child looks forward to opening at school. For Halloween, I pulled out one of our favorite cookie cutters and transformed Peyton's everyday peanut butter and jelly sandwich into a friendly little ghost. It only takes a few extra seconds, but it's amazing how much more exciting lunch ...
I Am So Bored!
I am so bored is a phrase I frequently hear on the weekends. Peyton will wander out of her room and mumble how bored she is and ask me for something to do. Well, she doesn't necessarily like my ideas! Because I tell her to pick up her toys or do her homework. Instead, she mopes around the house until she finds something to do or she lays on the couch until I tell her to move. When we read the story I Am So Bored! by Henrike Wilson it reminded me of Peyton! In I Am So Bored! Baby Bear is ...
See You Later, Alligator
See you later, alligator! After a while, crocodile! That was one of my favorite things to say as a child. Peyton and I say it to each other all the time. Sally Hopgood has taken one of my favorite sayings and turned it into a children's book, geared towards children 3-6 years old. Emma Levey created colorful and engaging pictures to go along with the story. The story takes place in a park full of animals. That morning, Tortoise decides he wants to head out into the world and have an ...
Sebastian’s Diagnoses
Last week, Sebastian had his wellness visit. Now that he's 15 years old I dread these visits. I have anxiety and stress about finding out something is wrong with my fur baby. But I still do them. Every single year I take him in for his wellness visit and vaccinations. This year, they found something. Sebastian has lost a little over a pound since his visit last year. And then upon physical examination, a lump was found on his throat. A lump! When the doc told me my baby had a lump on his throat ...
Veggie Tales Every Day with God
I remember when I wanted to start introducing God to Peyton. I mean, I always talked about God and Jesus around her. But she didn't really understand. We did try out Sunday school but that was a complete disaster, so we left. But I really do feel she needs to know about God, so how do I do that? Veggie Tales Every Day with God is a great way to introduce little ones to God. There are 365 devotionals to help children learn about God and to be kind to one another. On Day 2 the devotional is - ...
