Autumn Dipped Pretzel Rods

Fall is here y’all! And with fall comes all things pumpkins, spiced and sweet. I love this time of year! Today, I’m going to share with you how to make Autumn Dipped Pretzel Rods, trust me, they will be a hit! I made some pretzel rods for the 4th of July and everyone devoured them. The combination of sweet and salty keeps them coming back for seconds, thirds, fourths until they are all gone.  I love how simple these are too. You can make 2 dozen in about 10 minutes. Plus they look impressive and work well as a little table garnish too.

So here is everything you will need to make these yummy autumn dipped pretzel rods –

8 pretzel rods
6 ounces White Candy Melts
2 ounces Orange Candy Melts
Autumn (brown orange and yellow) Sprinkles
Wax paper
(optional) squeeze bottle

Now, this is a quick, simple and fun recipe to make. It’s one where you can recruit the kids and have fun making them.

This is important – lay wax paper down on the counter or area you are going to be working in. The chocolate can get a smidge messy and it’s much easy to wad up the wax paper and toss then it is to scrub down the countertops.

You can use a coffee mug or those fancy Wilton Tall Dipping Containers to melt the white chocolate in. Place the white candy melts in the coffee mug and melt in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until you have a smooth consistency of melted chocolate.

Take a pretzel rod and dip it into the melted white candy. If you are using a mug, you’ll want to tip the mug and use a spoon to help cover the pretzel rod evenly. Once you have the desired amount of chocolate on the pretzel rod, lay it on the wax paper to dry.

Next, melt the orange candy melts in 30-second intervals until it’s a smooth consistency. You can do this in the squeeze bottle with the top off or you can do this in a ziplock baggie.

Once the orange chocolate is melted you are going to drizzle it over the white chocolate on the pretzel rod. Squeeze or drizzle as much of it as you want. If you are using the ziplock baggie you’ll need to snip off a little corner so you can drizzle the chocolate.

Before the chocolate hardens sprinkle the autumn sprinkles on your pretzel rods.

You can either refrigerate for an hour or if the house is cool let them sit out on the counter. I do suggest storing these in an airtight container in a cool place or fridge so the chocolate does not melt.

These are a great treat to have on hand for when company pops over.
