Do You Blend?

Back in the day, when I first started wearing makeup we had wedges. These piece of foam, cut in the shape of a rectangle to help apply our foundation. They frequently fell apart and really didn’t do much to help. Some were too porous and would absorb all your foundation or they were so rubbery it would just push  your makeup around.  Now fast forward to today and we have blending sponges. They are so much better than the foam wedge rectangle of yesterdays.

JGOB has even designed a travel case to go with your blending sponge. I’m really digging this. Next month, I will be heading off on a road trip with my daughter to explore the Dakotas, now I can keep my blending sponge in the travel case and not worry about it getting dirty. Not only does the travel case keep the blending sponge from getting dirty it also keeps your other beauty products protected from getting smeared with foundation. When you’re on the road, at least when I’m traveling, I do my makeup and toss it all in the bag and head out the hotel room door. There’s no time for sponges to dry. With the case, I can put the sponge directly into and not have to worry about it. The travel case is vented so my blending sponge will dry out while not getting anything else messy. It’s a win-win. The travel case is made from a flexible plastic with a snap on top. If the case gets full of makeup or dirty I can wash it out. I can also disinfect it after my travels. The travel case helps me keep my blending sponge protected from germs and bacteria.

I chose the neon green JGOB blending sponge, but they come in a wide range of colors. You can choose black charcoal, Cielo blue, Dolce Peach, Fresco Pearl, Fuego Yellow, Magenta Purple, Reale Pink, Rosa Red or Sontousa Purple. Each one comes with it’s own travel case.
