First Thoughts Hilton Garden Inn Omaha Aksarben Village

I love staying at new hotels! Why? Because everything is new!! Recently opened, Hilton Garden Inn Omaha Aksarben Village is centrally located to nearly everything we did. Nothing was more than 15 minutes away from the hotel. Plus, there is a ton to do in walking distance. Like, you can walk out of the hotel, across the street and take in a movie or grab a bite to eat or do a little shopping.

Hilton Garden Inn Omaha Aksarben VillageI don’t know about you, but nearly every time we go somewhere I always forget something and need to take a quick run to Target or Wal-Mart. Well, guess what? There is a Wal-Mart just a few blocks from the hotel! We made a quick stop over there because I was looking for my favorite tea and few snacks for the room.  There is also a full snack shop inside the Hilton Garden Inn so you can grab some munchies, coffee, or ice cold beverages anytime of day without leaving as well.

Hilton Garden Inn Omaha Aksarben VillageThis next piece of knowledge is something Peyton was super excited about. They have an INDOOR HEATED POOL! You do not find that often that the pool is heated in a hotel. Usually only the hot tub, hence it’s a hot tub. But the indoor pools are usually freezing cold. Not at this Hilton Garden Inn, the pool is heated and the water is warm. Just ready for any little one to jump in and swim around. Every time we went down to the pool there were kids in it, that a sing of a good pool area.

Hilton Garden Inn Omaha Aksarben VillageThere is also a restaurant attached to the Hilton Garden Inn Omaha Aksarben Village. We ate there our first night, and I must say, the chef did a spectacular job.  If you are looking for a melt in your mouth steak, this is the place to come. Peyton I split the steak, mashed potatoes and asparagus, well I’ll be honest I ate all the asparagus Peyton wasn’t touching that one. But she gobbled up the mashed potatoes and couldn’t eat the steak fast enough.  The steak was tender, juicy and full of flavor. When you put it in your mouth it literally just melted. It was so good. I could’ve had the same meal every night we were in town and been fine with it. We also shared a little dessert too. And I had a strawberry daiquiri. Every single thing was delicious. It was the perfect way to end our first day in Omaha.

Hilton Garden Inn Omaha Aksarben VillageWe had a standard room with 2 queen beds. One thing that was different about this room was the closet. It had wire bins in it! I really liked that because we could keep our swimsuits in there, socks, and sleep shirts. Then I hung up our other clothes. Everything was quick and easy to put away. Unpacking literally took me about 5 minutes.  There was not a traditional dresser in this room so the bins were a nice compromise.

Hilton Garden Inn Omaha Aksarben VillageEach room comes with a mini-fridge, perfect for keeping beverage ice cold and a few snacks as well. There was not a bathtub in our room, so if are traveling with itty bitties you will want to see if there is a room available with a bathtub. Big perk, the in room coffee bar area! Complete with a single serve coffee maker, coffee, tea, sugar and cream you have everything you need to help keep you caffeinated and on the go with their convenient to-go cups. There is also a microwave above the coffee bar perfect for heating up leftovers or snacks.

Hilton Garden Inn Omaha Aksarben VillageMy biggest impression of this location was the spaciousness of the hotel. I really enjoyed the huge lobby with the ample seating making it the perfect place to sit and relax, enjoy your cup of coffee and plan out your day. The business center is right off the lobby so you can check your emails, print your boarding passes or pull up directions to nearby attractions.

If you are looking for a hotel that is centrally located with things to do in walking distance, check out the Hilton Garden Inn Omaha Aksarben Village. I know every place we visited was 10-18 minutes away by car. And there was a huge music festival going on in the village so we had amazing music the whole weekend we were there!
