What Are The Healthiest Methods Of Cooking?

Roasted Brussel Sprouts

If you want to be as healthy as possible, then at some point you need to take a look at the food you eat. Not only what you eat, but you also need to think about the way in which you cook it. This is something that the majority of people fail to ever really look into properly, but doing so just mind open up a whole new understanding of what it means to cook more healthily. As it happens, here are methods of cooking which are far healthier than others. If you are aware of what is best for each type of food, then you will probably find that your overall health goes through the roof in no time. So let’s take a look at some of the healthiest ways to cook your meals.

Juicing

If you have heard of the benefits of juicing before, then you will be unsurprised that it has made it to this list. Many people all over the world absolutely swear by juicing, and if you give it a go even for just a week you are bound to understand why. When you juice, you actually allow most of the natural nutrients and minerals in the food to remain – but that’s not all. It is also true that juicing breaks down the goodness in such a way that your body actually stores it for longer. This basically means that eating fruit and vegetables this way prolongs the benefits that they have on your system.

This is a much less known method of cooking, but it too is a great way of being able to enjoy food in a much healthier manner. The difference here is that air frying allows you the opportunity to enjoy what are traditionally less healthy foods in a much healthier way. A good example here is fries – generally, there are fried in oil, sometimes even deep-fried, and this is definitely not the healthiest way to cook anything. But if you use an air fryer, you can still have fries but without the oozing oil, making it a much healthier way to eat your favorite snacks.

Blue Apron South Indian Squash CurryBoiling

If you are going to cook vegetables, it is usually best if you boil them, rather than cook them in any other way. The reason for this is quite simple. With boiling, you cause the least stress and damage to the food itself, and this means that the vegetable retains much more of its naturally occurring vitamins and minerals. Therefore, you will benefit much more from eating them than if you were to roast or fry them. Of course, if you really want to get the most out of vegetables, then you could even think about eating them raw. Raw is the best in terms of the goodness you are looking for, and this is boosted if you also leave the skin on the vegetables before you eat them. Do this, and you will soon feel a lot healthier in your day to day life.
