Keeping Your Baby Naturally Healthy

New babies are delicate little people who require gentle care. The harsh products that we adults often use to look after our health needs are rarely the best things we can give our little ones. The good news is that there are lots of natural things we moms can do to keep our babies in good health.

Here are some simple things you can do to keep your baby healthy the natural way:

Maintain Their Nose Cleanliness

It may sound strange, but ensuring that your baby’s nose is clean is one of the best things you can do if you want to help them grow healthy. Babies naturally breathe through their nose, which means that they need their nasal passages to be clean and clear if they are to do all the basics, such as eating and sleeping.

Regular Bathing

Bathing your baby daily can have a lot of benefits. For one thing, keeping them clean will help to prevent germs from taking hold. It will also give you a chance to check baby’s body for any rashes or skin problems, and perhaps most important of all, bath time is a great opportunity for you and baby to bond.

It is important to use a mild soap when bathing your baby, as they have more delicate skin than us adults, and it is safer to use a dedicated baby bath, like the ones at bathingyourbaby.com to bathe your baby in.

Take Them Out

Although you need to be careful to protect your baby’s delicate skin from the harsh rays of the sun, taking them out when the sun is shining is a great way to ensure they get enough Vitamin D, which is vital for helping them grow strong, healthy bones and teeth.

Vitamin D can also help babies sleep, so if your little one is keeping you up all night, a nice sunny stroll to the park might be just the ticket. The fresh air will help too!

Baby Peyton 4 months oldCoconut Oil

If your baby is suffering from dry skin or other irritations to the body’s largest organ before you go for a store-bought cream, which is likely to be packed with all kinds of chemicals, head to the local grocery store and buy a jar of coconut oil. Gentle and effective, coconut oil will soothe sore skin and aid healing. It is also an anti-fungal, which means it can kill off many germs too!

If your baby is experiencing any health symptoms that have you concerned, you should always play it safe and visit a doctor. They are the best people to advise you, and if you let them know you prefer natural solutions, they may be able to recommend something suitable before they prescribe medication!
